Coating Systems
Primer and top-coat systems matched to your exposure conditions and durability requirements.
The right system for the job
A “coating system” is the full stack: surface prep + primer + intermediate (if needed) + top coat. System selection depends on what the coated surface will face: outdoor weather, chemicals, abrasion, heat, or immersion.
We build systems around common industrial coating types:
- Epoxy primers/intermediate coats for corrosion resistance and barrier protection (common in industrial/marine service)
- Zinc-rich primers for steel where extra corrosion protection is required
- Polyurethane / polysiloxane finish coats when you need better exterior durability, color retention, and abrasion resistance
Application options: on-site, in-shop, or manufacturing workflows.
Tell us the environment. We’ll match the system.
To quote and spec the right system, we need:
- Substrate (steel, aluminum, stainless, etc.)
- Exposure (outdoor, chemical splash, abrasion, heat, immersion)
- Desired finish (color, gloss, texture)
- Part size and quantity (one-off vs production)
- Timeline and location (in-shop vs on-site)
Note: For many systems, the required surface prep level matters as much as the coating choice. Industrial specs often reference blast cleaning levels like SSPC-SP10 / Near-White and defined surface profile ranges for performance coatings.
