What Is Heresite Coating?

Heresite Protective Coatings manufactures high-performance phenolic, epoxy, and urethane coating systems specifically engineered for HVAC and heat transfer equipment. Unlike generic industrial paints, Heresite coatings are formulated to coat the intricate fin-and-tube geometry of coils and heat exchangers without restricting airflow or reducing thermal efficiency.
As an Approved Applicator, Sandmans Blasting applies these coatings using Heresite’s documented processes — including proper surface preparation, application thickness, and curing protocols — so your equipment receives full manufacturer-backed protection.

Heresite Coating Products We Apply

P-413 Baked Phenolic-Epoxy

The most widely specified Heresite coating. P-413 is a baked phenolic-epoxy system that delivers broad-spectrum chemical resistance against acids, alkalis, solvents, and saltwater. It is heat-cured in a controlled oven environment, producing a hard, uniform barrier coat.

Best for: Coastal installations, wastewater treatment plants, chemical processing facilities, and marine environments where continuous corrosive exposure is expected.

P-403L High-Bake Phenolic

P-403L is Heresite’s most chemically aggressive coating. This high-bake phenolic system withstands concentrated acids, caustic solutions, and extreme chemical fumes that would degrade standard coatings.

Best for: Pulp and paper mills, petrochemical plants, fertilizer manufacturing, and any environment with concentrated chemical exposure.

VR-514 Air-Dry Phenolic

VR-514 is a field-applicable, air-dry phenolic coating designed for situations where baking isn’t feasible — such as equipment already installed on-site or units too large for oven curing. It provides strong chemical and moisture resistance without requiring heat cure.

Best for: Retrofit applications, rooftop units, installed equipment, and situations where disassembly for oven baking is not practical.

WB-506 Water-Based Air-Dry Coating

WB-506 is Heresite’s environmentally conscious option. This water-based, air-dry coating has low VOC content while still delivering solid corrosion protection for moderate environments. It’s the go-to choice when environmental or regulatory compliance is a factor.

Best for: Indoor air handlers, schools, hospitals, food processing facilities, and projects with strict VOC emission requirements.

UC-5500 Urethane Coating

UC-5500 is a flexible urethane system that provides excellent UV resistance and weathering performance in addition to corrosion protection. Its flexibility makes it well-suited for equipment that experiences thermal cycling and expansion.

Best for: Outdoor condensing units, equipment exposed to direct sunlight, and applications where UV degradation is a concern alongside corrosion.
