What Is Powder Coating?
Powder coating is a finishing process where a dry, free-flowing powder is electrostatically applied to a metal surface and then cured under heat. The result is a uniform, hard finish that is significantly more durable than conventional liquid paint — resistant to chipping, scratching, fading, and wear.
Because the coating is applied as a dry powder rather than a liquid, the process produces little to no volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions, and overspray can be recycled rather than wasted. It also builds thicker, more even coats in a single application without running or sagging.

How It Works
Every powder-coated piece goes through the same basic workflow: the part is cleaned and blasted to remove contaminants and create a proper surface profile, then masked where needed. The dry powder is applied using an electrostatic spray gun, which charges the particles so they adhere evenly to the grounded metal surface.
The coated part is then moved into a curing oven, where heat fuses the powder into a smooth, continuous film. Once cooled, the finish is ready — hard, uniform, and durable right off the line.
